What is it about ?

This is a global event, co-sponsored by two associations, World Cleanup Day - France and the Responsible Digital Institute, in order to extend the lifespan of our digital equipment to reduce our environmental footprint linked to digital technology. .
The objective is to raise awareness and take concrete action by encouraging each and every one of us to “Cyber ​​CleanUp Data” – to clean data stored on our equipment.

But why worry about all this ?

If digital technology is the source of great progress, its acceleration is worrying for the environment. Digital technology is responsible for 4% of global greenhouse gas emissions today, and it is estimated that by 2025 this digital pollution will double!
Negative impacts must be considered at all stages of the life cycle of digital equipment (from its manufacture to its end of life through its use).
