What is ISO 45001 ?
It is a certification for the management of Health and Safety of employees in the workplace.
An integrated approach with ISO 9001 – quality management:
- A policy, an analysis of risks and opportunities
- Indicators – Objectives and an action plan
- Regulatory compliance with monitoring
- Monitoring with diagnostics, audits, management review
- Treatment of non-conformities and adverse events
- Continuous improvement in the health and safety of employees
It is a very complementary OHS management organization and linked to Fayat METAL’s “Safety, All Concerned” approach.

OUR REVIEW
- Recruitment of a prevention officer to ensure the animation of the process and the implementation of documentation with the process pilots on the different sites of the division (Nantes, Anthon, Parthenay and the construction sites).
- 8 months of preparation for ISO 45001 certification (April to Nov 2021) – a major non-compliance in Nov lifted in Feb 2022! And finally a certification !
- Around ≈ 20 work meetings between colleagues,
- Process audits (8), job audits (20), diagnostics to identify problems and compliance with the standard
- Creation of an SST COPIL for workshops and one for construction sites 12 days of certification audits for 8 processes concerned !
- Tidy workshops, checked equipment, etc.
- A still long action plan and great pride for the teams !
