Secure overhead crane
As part of the construction of the extension of building 151-E for the storage of low-intensity conditioned waste on the BP1 site, our services concern the studies, manufacturing, installation and commissioning on site of an overhead crane dedicated to the secure movement of packages (400 l drums) to their storage area.
Packages are gripped and moved using a vertical gripper.
The safe movement of the load is critical, its design is therefore carried out according to the principle of the single failure criterion (SFC). Concretely, the failure of a component of the overhead crane (including the control) can never result in a drop in the lifted load.
