Toulon naval base - Secure port crane

A work of exceptional dimensions.

Design, manufacturing, assembly and commissioning

The crane is of the cable-lifting jib type, articulated on a rotating frame, without balancing. A balancing counterweight is placed at the rear of the winch room.

The general design of the crane ensures mechanical leveling on both lifts.

The particularities of the crane :

  • Nuclear safety requirements: earthquake, extreme wind, overpressure wave, fire, availability, integrity after attack, collision, load drop, etc.
  • Operator cabin floor level: +30.00 m
  • Level of the top of the maintenance tower (Pylon head): +82.00 m.
